Orion Diagnostica's QuikRead® 101 Instrument is a photometer providing a user-friendly way of measuring analyte concentrations important in medical diagnosis and monitoring. QuikRead 101 guides the user through the assay procedure by means of a series of messages and prompts shown on the display. The assays are therefore very easy to perform. The instrument can be operated on an AC power supply or batteries, and it has connections for an external printer or a personal computer, a barcode reader and ethernet. The instrument is meant to be used together with assigned, ready-to-use QuikRead reagent kits. The results, shown as concentration units or positive/negative result, are available in minutes.
